This piece orchestrates three source fragments:
This piece was originally created by sampling the banjo-like music and recording a loop of it on tape, and then sampling the French words and layering them individually so the female voice (chorused and lowered in pitch in the original) would say "voyage", and the male voice (raised in pitch in the original) would say "centrale". The piece was and is still just these elements repeating over and over.

originally written by Colin, but "remixed" by Mingo
This piece intermixes fragments of the original "drama", repeated in a rhythmic fashion and accompanied by a sampled and altered electronic rhythm.
This piece was originally created by combining all of the audio samples together directly, with a heavy echo effect added to the voices. Like "Voyage Centrale", it has been redone here and the end result is that it is much cleaner sounding. The original audio had been sampled at a much lower rate.

This selection is presented as an "instrumental", in the sense that the original lyrics are not present. Instead, many unidentified audio samples from television have been added throughout.

The chorus is an electronically altered scripted conversation between Colin and Mingo. It was originally recorded while holding down the fast-forward button, and had been spoken so as to appear to be played forwards when the recording was played while holding down the rewind button.
The original recording was digitized and then electronically sped up and reversed to produce the "normal" sounding speech heard in this selection.

The computer voices appearing throught this piece were obtained from an AT&T web site which allowed the web client to submit text to be spoken by the various voices.

The music track is actually a small fragment of a piece of music digitized from an unknown radio program. It is being looped and pitch-shifted to achieve the basic rhythm. The second part, where a singer is apparently singing "yeah" is just the tail end of the same sample being played long enough to hear him start to sing something.
The other audio elements are excerpts from a longer audio recording made by Colin & Mingo in 1983.

Among those audio elements used here from the original recording are several sections of a German language instruction recording, sometimes being played at 45 RPM instead of 33 RPM. The German language instruction is also being echoed and looped.
